Manjurinama and other documents

(1) A pregnant woman who wants to receive the service must provide her permission to have an abortion in writing in the format as per Schedule-8 to the concerned doctor or health worker.
(2) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-section (1), in the case of women who do not have a permanent address due to physical or mental reasons and who have not completed the age of 16 years, a pregnant close relative may write in such permission.
(3) The doctor or health worker shall mention the registration number and date in the approval received according to sub-section (1) and (2) in the registration register of the relevant health institution.
(4) The statement made by the concerned pregnant woman stating that she became pregnant through coercion or artificial insemination should be considered as a reliable basis by the concerned doctor or health worker and should be provided or sent to the appropriate doctor or health worker.
(5) Based on the statement made by the pregnant woman who wishes to receive the service to the doctor or health worker and any other technical basis that can support that statement, the concerned doctor or health worker shall determine the age of the fetus in the womb and record it in the records.
